Being independent allows us to provide consistent, personalised care where you see the same vets and nurses every visit ensuring continuity of care. Animal welfare comes first and is the basis by which recommendations are made.

As an independent practice, we have absolute autonomy over what products and services we offer and will always recommend options that are truly impartial and appropriate for you and your pet. Being independent allows us to re-invest directly into the business without paying unnecessary dividends to corporate shareholders.

We are a climate positive workforce who are passionate about the environment and reducing our impact on it! We’ve taken the Green Growth Pledge and endeavor to recycle as much as possible via TerraCycle and encourage all our clients to return used medication blister packs to be recycled. We’ve reduced our use of single use plastics and use biodegradable and recycled consumables wherever possible.

We are a paperless company and have reduced the need to copy and print documents where ever possible.

At Oxford House Veterinary Clinic we love our jobs! Our ethos is to make every member of our team feel valued, nurtured, and supported. The veterinary industry is becoming increasingly demanding and we sadly feel that our staff often go unrecognised and underappreciated but we’re doing our very best to change this! We are dedicated to righting all of these wrongs, after all, if we take care of our staff then they will take better care of you and your pets! We appreciate that vet visits can sometimes be stressful but to protect our hard-working team we kindly ask that you treat our staff with kindness and respect at all times. We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to anti-social, abusive, aggressive or violent behaviour.

Drop off Service

We appreciate that life is often busy, and it can be difficult to accommodate a vet visit (especially during working hours), so we are pleased to offer a drop off service to try and make life as easy as possible. You can drop your pet off in the morning and pick them up later the same day to work around your schedule!

All we ask is that you call to book, fill in a pre-consultation form and bring your pets favorite home comforts for their stay. They’ll get lots of fuss and attention during the day from our wonderful team. Our vets will examine your pet and will give you a call to discuss any findings, further tests, and treatment plans. Contact us today to learn more and to schedule an appointment.

Payments

Unfortunately, there is no NHS for pets! We need to charge for our services so we can afford state of the art equipment in order to offer the premium level of care that we believe your pets deserve. We keep fees as reasonable as possible and respectfully request that you settle bills at the time of your visit. We will always provide estimates for any recommended procedures and treatments. It’s impossible for us to match the prices of online pharmacies due to the overheads associated with running a clinic but we try to keep prices as competitive as possible. We always advise that you take out Pet Insurance to cover any large bills.

We believe that routine care for your pet should be affordable and readily accessible which is why we offer our Healthy Pet Plan (coming soon).
